You know your friend is a Gibbler when...

This is NOT for made-up jokes, though if you come up with one ou could put it in. However, I'd like to keep this as real as possible, because I'm sure quite a few of us have friends, acquaintances, or even family who have a bit of Gibbler in them.

My dad had this fellow on his mail route who was a bit slow and is quite comical. He calls occasionally and has this Super Bowl article he sends in before the Super Bowl each year. ([I can't figure how how to insert the link and you'd see a couple sentences anyway and have to buy the articles) For this year's article, which he asked me to help him with it and where I had no time to edit it for him becasue he waited till the last minute, featured the following:

1. He said that to win, Matt Ryan had to "hit a few home runs," mixing the metaphors.
2. He referred to the quarterbacks trying to find out who would be the successor - meaning the one who has success.
3. I did correct him when he had a spelling issue - he wasn't sure if he wanted Atlanta to hgain composure or composer. I told him that if he said Atlanta was going to gain composer, that he would be predicting they would sign Beethoven or Bach.
4. A few years ago, he was going to say that the combatants were ont he same side in World War Two as in World War One for his Giants/Patriots redux pick... until I informed him that Japan and Italy were Allies in World War one. "Oooh," he said.
He ws going to be foreclosed on several years ago, and the house was in such disrepair there was a good chance it would be torn down. He asked me, "Can people still live in a house after it's torn down?"

I've got more, too, when I think of them, but these are the ones off the top of my head.

Anyone else have any stories of people they know who have some Gibbler in them?

I was at a wedding reception for my cousin, Amy. Another cousin, Barbara, who was 15 at the time, didn't know what "reserved" meant. She saw tables with "reserved" signs on them. I had to explain it to her.

You do know that it already was? The third season starts in September.
