Many years ago, I removed the pictures section because it was using up too much bandwidth, mostly because other sites linked directly to the images. I decided to bring back the pictures section, starting with a few images, and increasing that amount during time.
This will be a test though, as I hope to have found a way to prevent linking to the images from outside the website. Of course, I will keep an eye on the bandwidth and in case the bandwidth usage explodes, I'll have to find another solution again.
I expect to either have the pictures back tonight or this weekend, so stay tuned!

Bandwidth is the amount of datatraffic the site uses. The more bandwidth has been used, the higher the costs for the website will be. So that's why I tried to find a balance between bandwidth usage and content of the website and thus I blocked the access to images from external websites.
